Among those who were last to say goodbye and bring a smile to my face was the guy who walked up late in the evening and introduced himself as the guy who was using the leaf blower around my tent every night.
Now you have to understand, that at times, there was nothing but a handful of inches and a sheet of opaque plastic separating us. He ran his industrial strength machine all around me, every night for 13 nights. I only heard him the first handful of nights and eventually was sleeping right through the noise.
Now consider for a moment how someone I have never seen before walked up to me and introduced himself to me as being the guy who ran the leafblower in my ear. How did he know me? How did he even know someone was sleeping in the tent?
I knew I shouldnt of asked. But I did.
He heard me.
He heard my snoring.
Over the leafblower.
